BRIAN FLAHERTY

White Scarves

Brian Flaherty lives in Auckland with his wife and three children. He is a librarian, co-editor of Trout and web developer for the New Zealand Electronic Poetry Centre (nzepc). His poems have appeared in web journals Turbine, Evasion, Blackmail Press and Trout.

Flaherty comments: ‘ “White Scarves” originated from a Borges quote in The Library of Babel, an old Tom Waits interview with Playboy, a project to digitise some photographs and a sample from Christchurch band Into the Void. The fragments morphed over a period of months into a digital poem with kinetic text, jpeg images and mp3 sound file. To be honest, I really don’t know what it’s about. It changes every time I read it!’
